Annette Langham
Mrs. Annette Langham, 79, of Central Road, Thomson, GA went to be with her Lord on May 6, 2017 at University Hospital.
Mrs. Langham was a lifelong resident of Thomson, GA and the daughter of the late Clifford V. Palmer and the late Mary Will Rabun Palmer. She worked at WTWA for some time earlier in her life, but after the birth of her children became a homemaker, devoting her life to her family. Mrs. Langham spent many years as the church pianist at Mt. Beulah in Warren County. In later years, along with her family, she joined First Baptist Church in Thomson, GA where she taught Children’s Sunday School for a number of years, was a devoted member and actively involved in the Gleaner’s Sunday School and Women’s Missionary Union (WMU). She also enjoyed serving as a volunteer greeter at the front desk at FBC for several years. Being a believer in evangelism, she shared her strong faith with others. She shared that faith even with the nurses and doctors whom she encountered during her final days on this earth. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Langham was predeceased by her daughter and son-in-law, Ron and Tinye L. Harding.
Survivors include her beloved husband of 60 years, J.C. Langham; son, Cliff Langham (Tanya); and grandchildren, Matthew Harding (Annie), Andrew Harding (Jenny), and Tori Langham; and great-grandchild, Brooks Harding.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m., Wednesday, May 10, 2017, at First Baptist Church with Rev. David Lambert officiating. Interment will follow at Westview Cemetery. Pallbearers will be: Chuck Jeremias, Stephen Palmer, Lee Harbeson, Steve Langham, Van Langham, and Jimmy Yelton. The family will receive friends from 1 until 2:30 p.m., Wednesday in the Atrium of First Baptist Church.
In lieu of flowers, it is the family’s request that memorial contributions be made to First Baptist Church, P. O. Box 1205, Thomson, GA 30824.
