Mr. Tyler was born on April 2, 1941 in Wilkes County where he has lived most of his life. Then, he was employed by Pet Milk as a route salesman in Greene County for 9 years. In 1973, he became owner of Tyler’s Machine Shop, Inc. which he and his wife, Kay operated for 45 years retiring in April of 2018. Mr. Tyler, a true southern gentleman, was well known in the area as one of the most accommodating businessmen that one would ever meet. His father, Herman Tyler and infant daughter, Sheryl Suzanne Tyler, preceded him in death.
