Sandra Smith Brooks, 68, Thomson, Georgia, entered into eternal rest on March 25, 2024.

Sandra was born in Thomson, Georgia on December 4, 1955, grew up in Thomson, Georgia, graduated from Thomson High School and lived all of her life in McDuffie County.  She was Baptist by faith and a member of Sweetwater Baptist Church.  She loved meeting people and loved watching Andy Griffith and Gunsmoke.  Sandra enjoyed horseback riding, and loved being involved in Church, loved her dog, Pippi Ann, loved trips to Walmart with her grandson, Asher and especially loved spending time with her family and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Barney W. Smith (Mary) and Mabel Willoughby Lowe and Billie B. Lowe.  Her survivors include her husband, Donald “Don” Brooks; her daughters, Dana Jones (Jason) and Valeri Cushman (Jonathan); her sister, Gayle Graziano and her five grandchildren:  Blake Washam (Jordan), Hannah Moncrief (Trevor), Asher Allen, Ben Cushman and Barrett Cushman.

A Memorial Service, being officiated by Rev. Don Cummings, will be held at Sweetwater Baptist Church, 1606 Wrens Highway, Thomson, Georgia 30824, on Wednesday, March 27, 2024, at Noon, with visitation being one hour before.
