Music by The Piano Brothers

Mrs. Walton was born on August 6, 1923 to Lonnie & Ella Mae Norman. On January 28, 1939, she married Albert Sims Walton and they made their home in the Lovelace Community on the Metasville Road where they raised their four children; Derwood, Marie, Larry & Lena.

Mrs. Walton retired with 30 plus years of service at the Royal Manufacturing Plant in Washington, GA and she was a member of Goshen Baptist Church. Following retirement, she was able to focus on her love of flowers. Her ability to make anything grow and flourish was evident by her immaculate yard.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her son, Derwood and siblings, Roy Norman, Charlie Norman, Myrtle Dent, Louise Crook, Lawrence Norman and Julius Norman. Her love of her family was evident by generations she leaves behind.

Survivors include her daughters, Marie W. Poss, Lincolnton, Lena W. Baston, and husband, Irv of Bremen; son, Larry Walton and wife, Diane, Lincolnton; daughter-in-law, Linda Walton, Lincolnton; sisters, Lessie Mae Young, Lincolnton, Alicia Partridge, and husband, Milton of Central, S.C. and Patricia Martin and husband, Gerald of  Greenwood, S.C.; brother, Bobby Norman, and wife, Mary Frances; brother-in-law, Jack Walton, Greenwood, S.C.; 8 grandchildren, and 12 great- grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held  on Sunday, October 1, 2017 at 1 p.m. at Anthony Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery with Rev. Robert D. Adams officiating.

The family will receive friends from 6pm until 9pm Saturday evening at Beggs Funeral Home 200 May Ave., Lincolnton, GA 30817, Phone: 706-359-4117
